Hope everybody had a nice weekend and hopefully you found a nice museum or gallery to go stay cool in. This last Saturday Mrs. OC Art Blog and I were paid a visit by the Laguna Art Museum's Contemporary Collectors Council. It was a lot of fun to give a little tour and talk about all the art that we have collected to date, both the works we really have grown to love as well as the mistakes we have made (or I have made according to Mrs. OC Art Blog). Museum collectors councils are a great way to get access to artist studios, galleries and private collections that you might not otherwise have access to on your own. Highly recommended! Couple of quick photos follow:
Giving the tour. That's my bald head.
Viewing some work.
This one's for Mike over at MAO. Enjoy!
It's first Saturday so that means Santa Ana's Artist Village will be the place to be. Looks like there will be lots to see and do.
Also, don't forget about the Arden2 opening on Sunday.
Also, I have the Laguna Art Museum Collector's Council coming to the house on Saturday to check out my stuff so I'm sure I'll blog about that....if I can get my internet access at home to work.
Before I forget. Longtime OC painter Michael Maas opens a show in the Pomona Arts Colony on June 10th at the Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center Gallery. Most of the info can be found here. Go support the formerly local painter.
